I think what impresses me the most is how the members on the crew and the Captain behave completely differently when they realize how important the medicine is for those people, which makes Captain Mal a hero.
What I think about heroes are not those who just always ready to help others, having a caring hearts, instead, I regard heroes as people who have more than that. I think heroes always try to do things which most of other people would mind doing such as things including stealing, crimes, etc. They would use all types of means like lying, stealing, robbing to achieve their goals. In many situations, heroes even get into big fights like what Captain Mal fought with those soldiers. However, what really makes a person stand out and make people think him as a hero is what his decision is when he is faced with money and conscience. Heroes and evils are alike in some ways for they would make every effort to carry their point, however, the most important part which distinguish the heroes from evils is how they are able to stand the entice. Captain Mal lied when he told the officer Zoe was his wife, he sneaked in the train and stole the cargo. In spite of the illegal business he did, he still was regarded as a hero because he followed his heart and gave back what he stole to those people who needed the most. Without thinking about his and the whole crew’s safety, he chose to do what is right and what is worth doing. Overall, he is a hero in my opinion.
