Today I have read an article called Think pink? Or think profit? The first thing that this article grabs my attention is its title. When I read the title, I do not know what she is going to write about but I feel like I want to read more of the article. As I kept reading, I think she has written her introduction quite interesting. I could imagine same thing happens to me as well. What she said was how some companies try to increase profits by claiming to support some charities. Her argument is that “If you’re going to the store with the intentions of helping a charity by buying a pink ribbon product, don’t waste your time or money.” This article is quite compelling and timely. As a reader, I had same experience as her for several times when I go shopping. The way how company increases their profits is true and need others to pay attention to. She has brought some examples about how other companies deal with the donation money and list several data. From these examples and research data, I think her argument is quite convincing and I would want to agree with her and try to pay attention to these things when I go shopping. I like the way she has drawn my attention by writing a quite interesting title and introduction. It is hard not to make your title too boring. Also, an effective and interesting introduction could draw lots of readers’ attention, like mine.
